Plug Valves

A Plug Valve is a valve which is used to control the flow of fluid in pipelines or into any processing unit. These valves consist of plugs which are either conical or cylindrical tapered and can be rotated inside the valve body either with the help of a hand wheel or motor actuated.

Gate Valves

A gate valve is a valve that opens by lifting a barrier know as a gate out of the path of the fluid. A gate valve is a multiturn valve meaning that the operation of the valve is done by means of a threaded stem. As the valve has to turn multiple times to go from open to closed position, the slow operation also prevents water hammer effects.

Globe Valves

Globe valves, sometimes know as throttling valves, are different from ball valves in that they can be used to regulate flow. Globe valves can be used for on and off applications. The seat of a globe valve is in the middle of the valve and is parallel to the pipe and use either a disc or a plug to shut off flow. Globe valves can be structured to handle flow in either direction.
