Description
The Fulflo VSF-7R/SS/WS Relief Valve, part of the V-Series, measures 1 1/2″ in size, and features a cast steel body. These V-Series relief valves range in sizes from 3/8″ – 2″, handle pressures between 3 – 1,000 psi and flow rates up to 150 gpm. This valve is API 520 & 614 approved.

Application: Use the Fulflo VSF-7R/SS/WS Relief Valve in various applications, including hydraulic and lubrication systems, for load regulation and system protection.
Installation: You can mount Fulflo valves in any position. To mount the valve, insert a tee in the pump discharge line. Install the correctly sized valve, ideally matching the pump discharge line. Screw the valve into the nipple in the tee or, for the flange style, bolt the valve to the companion flange screwed into the nipple. If you use the valve for frequent bypassing of oil pressure, pipe its outlet back to the tank. Ensure the discharge is well below the oil level in the tank to avoid air entrainment and erratic operation. Only pipe the valve’s discharge back into the pump suction line if the valve is used for safety or overload relief and operates infrequently. Frequent or continuous operation in this setup will overheat the oil and may cause damage.
Setting: Use a hydraulic hand pump to set the valve for cracking pressure. If a test stand is available, connect the valve to the discharge header with the pump bypass open. Gradually close the bypass until the desired pressure appears on the gauge.
Maintenance: Fulflo valves ensure reliable, chatter-free operation when the system remains free of abrasives and foreign matter. Continuous filtration of the liquid used is strongly recommended.
